a new day

yeah so, if you've been here before you will notice i deleted my last post. just got sick of looking at it. this is going to be a new blog for my new life. updates soon. even though no one reads this.

i have recently been thinking of deleting my facebook profile because of how much it has completely changed the social experience of life all together, and changes it in a way i dont like. anyone else feel this way? don't have time to discuss it now... i have to get up at 4am to take my family to the airport tomorrow. convo on 'face' shall ensue at another time.

parentheses (and stuff)

so today was movie day. (i dont know why basically every post i have on here is about a movie) but i saw this indie flick at the theater called "london river". yeah, i know 'indie movie in mexico?'. yeah, it turns out there is a little group of artsy yuppies that lives in saltillo, and for the next 2 weeks they have free (yeah free!!) shows of all these indie movies from the past year at the cinepolis. i didn't expect it either, trust me. ever since my cuz has been here she has been going in service and finding all kinds of things in this town that i never knew. which is a good thing, a great thing. since she is going to move in with us here im glad she (and all of us) have things to look forward to (like indie movies at the theater, and signs for dance clubs that picture a man grabbing a girls butt). but anyways... the movie was a good needed break from the painstaking work i've been doing on my first pub. talk i have on sunday (2 days from now). totally stressing me out bacause like everything i do i have waited till the last possible minute to accomplish any kind of progress... but i think it will go well. (2nd) anyways... the movie was good(?). well, a little bizarre since i have gotten so used to hollywood's high budget style movies that glorify the rich and famous and the technological abilities to make anything in your imagination a (oh so real) reality. i found that i kindof forgot there were people who make movies for a message. although there could have been a bit more of a story to this one. (like a twist at the end or something?) but the main plot of this one wasnt the main point. it was more about how people from different backgrounds end up together in the most unexpected ways. the acting was very (very) good. but almost the entire movie was filmed on one block in london which made it seem long (since every other scene was in the same appartment, on the same street corner, wanking down the same alley... multiple times). im just writing about stuff and didnt really have an opinion like 'oh, this movie was awesome. you should see it.' or one like 'pure and utter crap, just horrible.' but not even a 'eh, it was ok... ... ...' it was just different and if you dig low budget productions with good acting and a different (but meaningful) message sent in a kindof depressing way... then you would probably dig the film 'london river' (which by the way, i dont understood the name of the title, im sure its a reference to something im not familiar with. any ideas let me know).

unnecessary use of '...'

second post...... 3rd movie on the trilogy. yeah you guessed it, im watching 'return of the jedi'. and having the best frescarita ive ever made. which is ironic, because i made it with 'squirt' this time. and, there is in fact no fresca whatsoever in this 'frescarita'. but it does contain one of my favorite tequilas which makes it the best frescarita 'ever' (so far). it just so happens, i watched 'empire strikes back' yesterday. i had forgotten how great of a movie it was (as it turns out, all of my favorite movies of a trilogy happen to be the first sequel, im just a sequel kinda guy). so, it compelled me to watch the third in the series. and about two days before, as i watched "a new hope' i couldn't help but meditate on how creative it really was to make that movie back in 1977. i mean... r2d2 is plugging into 'networks' and telling 'computers' and 'systems' what to do before things like p.c.'s were even invented. and the internet and any kind of networks... come on! to think of the creative capacity it took to invent a world of machines that speak to each other before an electronic age even existed is pretty miraculous. tu che' mister lucas (and how the hell do you spell that?). and it was funny to see the scene where they show 'control rooms' and so called 'computers' in the movie were simply a wall of panels with lights of various colors and diodes. yeah, that lucas was on to something (or just 'on' something) he was f'ing brilliant. it also, just so happens, that as i was writing this it came to my attention that 'spell check' does not recognize the spelling of 'colors' as 'colours'. yes, thats right. english is in fact no longer 'english' at all. this just in... 'england' your language just got vetoed by spell check. its not 'english' at all. why dont we just call it 'american'. the change is past due anyways.
