parentheses (and stuff)
so today was movie day. (i dont know why basically every post i have on here is about a movie) but i saw this indie flick at the theater called "london river". yeah, i know 'indie movie in mexico?'. yeah, it turns out there is a little group of artsy yuppies that lives in saltillo, and for the next 2 weeks they have free (yeah free!!) shows of all these indie movies from the past year at the cinepolis. i didn't expect it either, trust me. ever since my cuz has been here she has been going in service and finding all kinds of things in this town that i never knew. which is a good thing, a great thing. since she is going to move in with us here im glad she (and all of us) have things to look forward to (like indie movies at the theater, and signs for dance clubs that picture a man grabbing a girls butt). but anyways... the movie was a good needed break from the painstaking work i've been doing on my first pub. talk i have on sunday (2 days from now). totally stressing me out bacause like everything i do i have waited till the last possible minute to accomplish any kind of progress... but i think it will go well. (2nd) anyways... the movie was good(?). well, a little bizarre since i have gotten so used to hollywood's high budget style movies that glorify the rich and famous and the technological abilities to make anything in your imagination a (oh so real) reality. i found that i kindof forgot there were people who make movies for a message. although there could have been a bit more of a story to this one. (like a twist at the end or something?) but the main plot of this one wasnt the main point. it was more about how people from different backgrounds end up together in the most unexpected ways. the acting was very (very) good. but almost the entire movie was filmed on one block in london which made it seem long (since every other scene was in the same appartment, on the same street corner, wanking down the same alley... multiple times). im just writing about stuff and didnt really have an opinion like 'oh, this movie was awesome. you should see it.' or one like 'pure and utter crap, just horrible.' but not even a 'eh, it was ok... ... ...' it was just different and if you dig low budget productions with good acting and a different (but meaningful) message sent in a kindof depressing way... then you would probably dig the film 'london river' (which by the way, i dont understood the name of the title, im sure its a reference to something im not familiar with. any ideas let me know).
